Anthony – Florida flatlander by birth, I currently live in the Piedmont of The Carolinas. I enjoy the outdoors, mostly via short backpacking trips, day hikes, occasional car camping, as well as periodic attempts at Tenkara fly fishing.
The purpose of this blog is primarily to document my own hikes and exploration either solo or with my family, mostly in the Blue Ridge Mountains and on the Appalachian Trail. However, I do write and try and categorize posts so they can be located via internet search, possibly helping others who are considering / planning a hike somewhere that I have written about.
A secondary goal of mine is to hike some less traveled trails and report on those in more detail than currently available.
I will likely never have extensive gear reviews or news on newly released stuff like more frequently updated outdoors blogs, but I do like to share my thoughts on gear I buy or use personally (good or bad) and also post about items I have made.
